Learn effective strategies for writing grant proposals.
As grantors get more sophisticated, and competition gets stiffer, grantseekers must amp up their game to succeed. Proving your organization’s merit, articulating the need powerfully, stating definitively what you will do to address that need and measure your progress are all deciding factors that you can strengthen. And identifying and cultivating the right funders – not just the usual suspects -- helps too. Strategies for finding the best match and fine-tuning your proposals abound in the new 5th edition of a 40-year classic, Getting Funded: The Complete Guide to Writing Grant Proposals. The new edition features tips and stories from funders; checklists, worksheets and examples; a new glossary; and a companion website with fresh online resources.
The co-authors have decades of experience as grantseekers, as leaders of a regional grant professionals association and as government and private funders. They teach a year-long fundraising program at the University of Washington and speak and train throughout the U.S.
Author Susan Howlett will share some of the juiciest bits from the book in this interactive session. Susan is known for engaging her audiences with stories, humor and chocolate.
