The James Irvine Foundation’s Exploring Engagement Fund: Helping nonprofit arts organizations explore new ways of engaging Californians.
The Irvine Foundation’s new Arts strategy seeks to promote engagement in the arts for all Californians by helping nonprofit arts organizations adapt to demographic and technological changes. The Exploring Engagement Fund is the first grantmaking fund announced as part of this new Arts program strategy and will support arts organizations to plan and implement projects that prototype new approaches to arts engagement.
This 40-minute webinar featuring Irvine’s Arts Program Director Josephine Ramirez and Senior Program Officer Jeanne Sakamoto will include background information and a Q&A session focused on how to apply to this open, competitive fund.
Please Note: To be eligible for the Exploring Engagement Fund you must be a California-based nonprofit arts organization that has an annual operating budget between $100,000 and $5 million. If your budget is larger than $5 million, the James Irvine Foundation is currently in the process of developing a grantmaking initiative that will be geared toward larger budget organizations. That initiative will be announced in 2012. Learn more about the Exploring Engagement Fund's eligibility requirements.
