Promoting your organization and mobilizing your members can be daunting, especially with a limited budget. But, it doesn’t have to be that way! Fortunately, social media offers a plethora of opportunities to help make the most of your marketing dollars – all while engaging in useful conversations and building valuable relationships. This seminar will examine some of the upcoming social media trends and provide you with tips, tricks and tools to help you develop and deliver your 2012 plan.

Presenters: Mitch Arnowitz and Kari Rippetoe of Tuvel Communications

Mitch Arnowitz, managing director of Washington, DC-based digital communications firm Tuvel Communications, brings experience, creativity, and proven results to harnessing social media and digital communications. A twenty-year veteran of traditional and interactive marketing, Mitch specializes in creating and leveraging relationships to drive loyalty and effectively market brands and organizations. An opinion leader, Mitch and his work are often quoted in newspapers such as The Washington Post and is cited for "best practices" by leaders in the marketing industry. He is also a frequent moderator and speaker at industry conferences, as well as contributor to blogs such as Social Media Today and Engage 365.

Kari Rippetoe, Social Media and Community Outreach Manager for Tuvel Communications, is an online marketing specialist and Inbound Marketing Certified Professional, Honors Distinction with over 10 years’ experience in a variety of sectors, including associations and nonprofits. She specializes in planning, executing and managing online marketing strategies utilizing social media, search, email, and content marketing tactics. Kari writes regularly for the Tuvel Communications blog, Unconventional Wisdom, which provides tips, best practices and opinions to help professionals at all levels effectively understand and utilize social media; and is a frequent guest contributor on social media marketing for a variety of blogs.
