Overall the proposal is very well written and engaging. As a grantmaker, you feel good about giving them money because they tell such a wonderful story. Since we want to help the organization as much as we can, we supplement our grant by giving them as much product as we can (such as dog toys, leashes, snack packs for the trainers) and by setting up a wholesale account for them with our corporate partner, Planet Dog. Because we are a company sponsored foundation, the only thing that might have made this proposal even better would have been some mention of publicity for our corporate partner. As the grantee, if you recognize that publicity or acknowledgment of the corporation will ultimately benefit you and can incorporate that into your proposal, the proposal will be more appealing.
