Learn how to build relationships with foundation prospects and prepare for calls and meetings with funders. And get some first-hand advice from Kristi Andrasik, Program Officer, The Cleveland Foundation.

From initial contact to getting funded, following field-tested best practices will increase your chances of getting the grant.

This class will teach you how to:

  • Initiate contact with potential funders
  • Plan calls and meetings, including site visits
  • Effectively communicate with funders during the grant process

Following the class, meet and learn from Kristi Andrasik, a Cleveland Foundation Program Officer.  Kristi will talk about how relationship-building works within the Cleveland Foundation and will share some do's and don'ts with grantseekers.  Bring your questions!

About the presenter:
Kristi Andrasik reviews proposals across a broad range of program areas as part of The Cleveland Foundation’s community-responsive grantmaking team.

She brings to the foundation more than eight years of experience in social service and nonprofit management, and a dedication to the advancement of the Cleveland region. Prior to joining the foundation, Kristi held several positions of increasing responsibility at Goodrich-Gannett Neighborhood Center in Cleveland, including family services coordinator, clinical director, and her latest position as associate director. Most recently, Kristi contributed her talents in family and community engagement at the Cleveland Metropolitan School District. She also serves as a volunteer for the Cleveland Animal Protective League.

Kristi graduated summa cum laude from Kent State University, earning a bachelor’s degree in human development and family studies with a minor in sociology and additional studies in family life education and nonprofit management and development. She received a Master of Science in Social Administration from Case Western Reserve University and is a licensed independent social Worker with supervising credentials in the state of Ohio

Prior attendance at Grantseeking Basics is strongly recommended.
