Knowledge Base

Q:
Where can I search for NGOs online?
A:

NGOs (non-governmental organizations) are present in nearly every country around the globe and work to address social issues. There is no central search engine that catalogs the work and focus areas of every NGO in the world. However, the web sites below provide a good starting point for research.

Also, look for the country’s agency in charge of regulating charities, for it may have a searchable database of its registered organizations (for example, the Internal Revenue Service for the United States, or the Canada Revenue Agency for Canada).
