The Employment Life Cycle: Hiring, Firing, and Everything in Between

Employees may be your most valuable asset, but they can also be your biggest liability. There are many things that an employer can do during the full employment life cycle to get the most from its workforce while also reducing the potential exposure from liabilities from that workforce. That process starts when the individual first walks through the door, continues throughout employment, and is critically important as the relationship ends.
During this 1.5 hour presentation, our speaker will discuss and help nonprofits understand:
- Best practices for hiring (recruiting, screening, onboarding);
- Best practices for conducting employee evaluations;
- Best practices for disciplining employees; and
- Best practices for terminating (information collection, evaluation of risks, compliance with laws)

Jamie Konn is a dynamic employment lawyer responsible for managing the full range of labor and employment needs of the firm’s clients in the Southeast.
