Come meet Dee Lowery, President of the FirstEnergy Foundation, and learn about their grantmaking priorities throughout the region.
The FirstEnergy Foundation's contributions to local nonprofit organizations help strengthen the social and economic fabric of communities within FirstEnergy's service areas. Funded solely by FirstEnergy, the Foundation extends the corporate philosophy of providing community support.
About the presenter:
Dee Lowery is vice-president of Corporate Affairs and Community Involvement for FirstEnergy and is President of the FirstEnergy Foundation. A Pittsburgh native, began her career in 1982 as a residential energy consultant in Lewistown, PA. From there she moved to Altoona, PA where she held a series of management positions over a 10 –year span.She worked for several years in various other management positions, including district customer services manager, marketing & sales manager and corporate manager of compliance for FirstEnergy. Dee managed relationships with the Public Utility Commissions in Ohio, Pennsylvania and New Jersey. She most recently served in the role of External Affairs Director for Penelec in Erie, PA promoting the strategy of Penelec and FirstEnergy. Dee is a Board member of the Akron General Hospital Foundation and a Board Member of the American Heart Association, Akron Metro Chapter.
