In-person | New York, NY

Check-in: 9:00 am

Nonprofits play a vital role in advocating for social issues and informing and influencing public policy. Yet many nonprofit executives are unclear about the laws surrounding lobbying and political activity. Join us for a seminar that will help you to learn about what is and what is not considered lobbying, how much lobbying a public charity can do, and what your organization needs to do to protect its tax status while engaging in these activities. We will offer the perspective of an attorney skilled in this area, as well as that of a nonprofit leader engaged in advocacy work. Join us just in time for election season!
