Presented in collaboration with Be Social Change

Nonprofits and social enterprises are ushering in a new era, as the Millennial generation prepares to lead the social sector into the coming decades. But what does the landscape look like for Millennials pursuing their careers in nonprofits and social enterprise? On the one hand, the generation born after 1979 is notably passionate about working for the greater good; the 2013 Millennial Impact Research report indicated that 72% of Millennials are interested in getting involved with a nonprofit organization, and the collaborative, tech-savvy skills the generation brings to the table are vital for the sector’s future. However, at a time when student loan debt is high and the job market is challenging, Millennials also face more obstacles than their predecessors when entering the field.

Join us for a special panel discussion about the state of Millennials in the realm of nonprofits and social enterprise. Learn more about the particular traits that make this generation unique in their professions, what the future holds, and how baby boomers and Generation X can better engage Millennials within their organizations.

Also, after the panel concludes, you are invited to join us for a special networking event nearby at Vapiano on 113 University Place.
