Stand Out in a Crowd: Crowdfunding Microgrants for the Arts

Wednesday, October 19, 2011 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm
In-person | New York, NY

Learn how crowdfunding strategies can be combined with traditional approaches to increase funding possibilities.

Check-in: 5:00 pm

This is a "Funding for Arts Month" program.

Crowdfunding is a way to pool together funds from a variety of people connected via online networks for a particular cause. It allows you to maximize your social media networks to capture attention and attract new donors.

Join us for a panel discussion on using crowdfunding strategies to augment your traditional fundraising activities. In this seminar, our panel will include professionals from the front lines of projects who have successfully employed crowdfunding as a means of support. Our speakers will discuss their experiences and explain how to:

  • Create a pitch clip that catches viewers’ attention
  • Include traditional "thank-you" perks that your donors will appreciate
  • Frame your online campaigns so that your donors become your audience and remain engaged with your project
