The nonprofit landscape has changed dramatically over the last decade. Today, donors no longer support a nonprofit just because they seem worthy. Donors have higher expectations for the impact of their gift and can access resources to measure whether or not a nonprofit is considered effective. As a result, nonprofits use low overhead to appear more attractive to donors. This often results in a vicious starvation cycle for nonprofits who struggle to balance resources between running their organizations and meeting the performance demands of donors. Drawing on twenty-five years of fundraising experience, Barbara O'Reilly will share strategies for how to change the conversation with your donors to focus on the true cost of impact.
Outcomes: Upon completion of this webinar you should be able to:
- Describe what factors inspire and limit donor investment in charitable causes
- Create stronger donor communications to talk about your work in the context of impact and results instead of overhead
- Design a donor engagement plan that engages and inspires your donors
- Executive Directors
- Development Officers
- Program Directors and Managers
