The workshop will discuss how to prevent discrimination and harassment of LGBTQ workers in the wake of the new administration.

Glicel Sumagaysay is the owner and principal attorney at Law Office of Glicel Sumagaysay. With over 7 years employment law experience, she helps employees and employers remedy and prevent employment law violations. She represents employees in their discrimination, harassment, retaliation and wage and hour matters in courts and administrative forums. She also provides advice, counsel, and documents to small employers on compliance issues and creating the correct procedures and policies for their employees.

Ms. Sumagaysay is admitted to practice in California state and federal courts, including the Ninth Circuit. She received her undergraduate degree from U.C. Davis in Political Science with minors in Communication and English, and her law degree from San Francisco Law School. She is a member of the California Employment Lawyers Association, its Barristers Section and Committee; the Alameda County Bar Association; the State Bar of California and its Solo and Small Firm Section; and the League of Women Voters. She is proud and honored to have been recently admitted as a Board of Director of Richmond Community Foundation.
