About

Back by popular demand, this session is being reprised in an extended format.

Are you and your nonprofit up to the task of crafting a strategic plan? Too often, organizations create plans that are too ambitious and don't fully align with the available resources (such as staffing or finances), and ultimately never get implemented. Other organizations can never find the time or are not sure where to start in creating a plan, and wind up navigating without a compass.

In this interactive session designed for small organizations jumping into the process, learn how to create a strategic plan that makes sense for your organization, and gather tips on how to best implement and evaluate the plan after it has been developed. Ellayne Ganzfried and Patty Murray of Commanding Boards will share their insights on the importance of creating a truly relevant strategic plan and the best methods for implementation.

At the end of this presentation, attendees will be able to:

  • Understand the benefits of creating a strategic plan
  • Identify the planning lifecycle
  • Define the different types/models of strategic plans
  • Describe the steps in creating a strategic plan
