About

The Creative Work Fund supports artists creating new works through collaborations with nonprofits. Artists must co-apply with their intended nonprofit partners. In preparation for its December 6, 2019 letter of inquiry deadline, the Creative Work Fund invites potential applicants to learn about the program’s history and focus, its guidelines and deadlines, navigating its online application, and what makes a strong letter of inquiry. Eligible artists may work in any discipline, and their 501(c)(3) nonprofit partners may work in any field of endeavor, but both the lead artists and nonprofits must live in the 11-county San Francisco Bay Area (extending from Napa to Monterey counties). Creative Work Fund grants range in size from $15,000-$45,000. The Creative Work Fund is a program of the Walter & Elise Haas Fund that also is generously supported by the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation.
