About

As the governing body of a nonprofit, an effective and enthusiastic board of directors or board of trustees can make all the difference. This workshop will review best practices, tips and tools for several elements of the successful board. These include nomination, cultivation and recruitment practices; board orientation, assessment, strategic planning, fundraising, fiscal oversight, board/staff relations, effective meeting and reporting strategies, and more. This workshop will be led by Pam Blevins Hinkle, Director of the Spirit & Place Festival. It is best for those who have already established their nonprofit organization.

Made possible by The Indianapolis Foundation Library Fund and The Emily Fund through grants to The Indianapolis Public Library Foundation.

This event is organized by a Funding Information Network partner.
