"I think we think of earned income as selling a T-shirt, but I think it 's really changed. I think people are really thinking what services, what benefit, what value-add can we offer other groups? And then, how can we make money doing that and also promote the type of change that we want to create."

Ms. Kunreuther is the co-author of Vision for Change: A New Wave of Social Justice Leadership, a report based on interviews with 17 U.S. social justice leaders under age 40 who serve as the executive or co-director of an organization.
