You can often find Forms 990 from 3-10 years ago online via websites that provide access to these forms.
Foundation Center keeps foundation annual reports and other publications for 3 to 4 years. Then, they are archived at the Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) University Library, which manages the Center's Historical Foundation Collection.
Our Historical Foundation Collection consists of materials obtained from private foundations, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), and public sources since our establishment in 1956. The collection consists of four sub-collections:
- IRS Tax Document Collection
- Annual Reports (including a searchable database of holdings)
- Historical Information Files
- Print Directories
For older Forms 990, you also can request them directly from the organization or the IRS.
